How to set up a Client Appreciation Giveaway
One of our favorite clients, Mary Ellis of The New Century Group, has shown her appreciation to her clients by giving them a Pie for Thanksgiving. The following is a testimonial from Mary along with the “How to” of setting up a Client Appreciation Event.

Thanksgiving Client Appreciation Pie Giveaway
- Early October - Call A Grande Finale Patisserie® at 303-926-4084 for price quotes on Holiday Pies.
- Mid October - Prepare mailing list of clients to receive Pie offer and print mailing labels.
- Third Week of October - Prepare copy for post card offer.
- Mid October while supply is available Select holiday card for Thanksgiving message to go on pie box and stickers to attach them. Try Kinko’s or Specialty store.
- End of October - Prepare Thanksgiving message for pie box.
- Last Week of October - Print post cards with selected wording. Include the following information:
- Greeting and Thank You for your business.
- Pie selection offer.
- Tuesday Delivery at your home OR Wednesday Pickup at our office.
- Instructions for RSVP with contact phone number.
- Deadline for RSVP
- Last week of October - Purchase post card postage stamps.
- First or Second week of November - Mail Post Card with offer the depending on when the Thanksgiving holiday falls.
- The day post cards get mailed - Set up a custom greeting on Voice Mail Line and include instructions to leave the following information:
- Name
- Pie selection
- Delivery on Tuesday (Home or Office – leave address) OR
- Pickup on Wednesday at our office.
- Finish the Friday before Thanksgiving - Begin printing Holiday message cards. Finish printing when you have final count of pies to order.
- Second week in November before Pie orders start to come in-
Prepare Excel spreadsheet to track orders. Use Excel so you can sort the list any way needed, i.e. Pie selection, delivery or pick-up or by town. Record each order on spreadsheet as they come in on Voice Mail.
- Week of Pie order deadline – Call clients who haven’t responded to offer.
- Friday before Thanksgiving -Call A Grande Finale Patisserie® to place Pie order for 8AM pick-up on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Order Holiday Cookies for Wednesday pick-up clients open house.
- Weekend before Thanksgiving, purchase refreshments for Wednesday pick-up clients open house. Including cider, cups, napkins and Holiday decorations.
- Monday before Thanksgiving - have team meeting to make final delivery plans.
- Tuesday before Thanksgiving - 8AM – pick-up Pies at A Grande Finale Patisserie®. Bring all Pies back to the office to sort them and attach Holiday message-Deliver Pies.
- Wednesday before Thanksgiving - set up office for Pie pickup open house- including taking photos of people picking up pies.
- Friday after Thanksgiving- enter Pie order information under each client name. Include any special client conversation notes for future reference.
- Friday after Thanksgiving - Post Thanksgiving Pie pick-up photos on the website.
- Team meeting, week after Thanksgiving, access the project and see where we want to make changes for next year.
